Dall'Uomo delle Uova: Batman's Hearse

I'm in no hurry to check-out, but, when my earthly tenure does expire, this stunning Maserati hearse-cum-Batmobile would make a suitable exit statement.  It’s definitely a step up from the aging Holden Statesman-based coffin-hauler I'll probably end up in, assuming petrol's still available when I do take my final gasp and that I'm not subjected to the indignity of riding to the pre-party in a Chinese EV.

It's likely that this particular example - based on a Ghibli platform and captured by the Egg Man in Genoa, Italy - was built by Italian carrozzeria to the dearly departed Ellena (https://www.ellenafuneralcar.com/veicoli-funebri/autofunebri/).  If so, it's the firm's stand-out design, with the rest of their mainly Mercedes-based offerings exhibiting about as much style as the grotesquely munted SsangYong Stavic.  Italian all the way is clearly the only way to go (out)!

Did you enjoy this post?  If so, why not browse the rest of the uppermiddlepetrolhead site?  There are loads and loads of classic, sports and performance vehicles featured, as well as stacks of car shows and motorsports events.  Even better, you can follow either the 'blog itself or do so via Upper Middle Petrol Head's Facebook page.  And please do like and share!
