For Sale: a Rare Bolwell Nagari.

Upper Middle Petrol Head doesn't usually do For Sale articles.  However, an exception has been made for this very, very special and extremely rare 1971 Bolwell Nagari, which is one of only 100 ever made in coupe form.

It was extensively restored in Launceston, Tasmania, including proven enhancements to its chassis and fibreglass tub.  It's powered by a brand new 302 Windsor crate engine and puts its power down via a Ford four-speed top-loader gearbox and a Fairlaine rear end.

The car presents as brand new, having been totally resprayed and reupholstered.  The entire instrument cluster has been upgraded and includes a full suite of gauges, including a GPS speedometer.  It's turn-key ready and would suit a discerning buyer.

Owner Kevin is asking $75,000 for this magnificent piece of Australian performance car history - arguably a bargain when the car's exclusivity, condition, performance and solid, dependable underpinnings are considered.  It has 1970s' supercar looks with the reliability and mechanical simplicity that matches that of a big Ford or Holden of the same era.

A vehicle of this standard might very well be snapped up my a mainland buyer, so I'd encourage any Tasmanians looking to invest in a truly unique classic car to seriously consider finding a place for it in their garage.  Kevin can be contacted on 0417 604 001 or via schrammbo@bigpond.com.
