Classics by The Beach: February, 2026

The term "unprecedented" has become a bit of a trope,  being used ad infinitum to describe our planet's ever-deteriorating climate - be it hotter, windier, wetter or drier than ever before - and the antics of one particularly unhinged world leader whose petulant attempts at world domination seem set to unravel eight decades' of relative global peace and economic prosperity in the Western world.

All of which seriously diminishes the word's utility in describing something for which there truly isn't any precedent.  Like the existence of vacant parking spaces at Long Beach, Sandy Bay, on the first Sunday of any month of the year.

That said, even if February, 2026's, Classics by the Beach wasn't particularly well-attended, the quality of cars on display was still excellent, with a couple that had, until now, not been seen by the UMPH team.

This lovely 1970 Lancia Fulvia coupe hasn't featured on our 'blog before.  We're not sure what exact model it is but, at a semi-educated guess, it might be a Series I Rallye 1.3 S (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancia_Fulvia).  However, there's no obvious badging or other clues to confirm this to be so.

The owner* of this scabrous 1976 Fiat 128 3P had just pulled it out of storage, given it a quick wash and whacked on a set of rather tasty 15" Stilauto alloys.  He claims the wheels have reinvigorated his enthusiasm for the car and that he hopes to get it painted fairly soon.

Did you enjoy this post?  If so, why not browse the rest of the uppermiddlepetrolhead site?  There are loads and loads of classic, sports and performance vehicles featured, as well as stacks of car shows and motorsports events.  Even better, you can follow either the 'blog itself or do so via Upper Middle Petrol Head's Facebook page.  And please do like, comment and share!
