The Baskerville Historics: Sunday the 18th of September, 2022
Welcome to Upper Middle Petrol Head's coverage of Day 3 of the 2022 Baskerville Historics! As regular readers probably know, the annual Historics meeting - held in Brighton, Tasmania, some twenty minutes' drive from the capital city of Hobart - is one of my very favourite events of the year.
To my mind at least, the Historics beats my other fave, Targa Tasmania, thanks to its concentrated three day format, accessibility in terms of proximity to Hobart and the ease with which you can view the cars, as well as the carnival atmosphere generated by the many, many enthusiastic patrons who flock to the event from all corners of Australia. The fact that there's on-site catering and dunnies doesn't detract from the experience, either!
Rather than tread on the long-lens photographers' toes, the UMPH coverage is concentrated on the many beautiful classic, sports and performance cars amassed in the Shannons' parking area, plus the grid displays and parade. There's also a fun video from the Alfa Male demonstrating the extraordinary road holding capabilities of the classic Mini. Please enjoy!
