Baskerville Historics 2018 # 1: Grid and Pits Photos

Here's my pro-tip for budding shutter-bugs:  Photograph racing cars.  It's almost cheating ; the colours, shapes and action lend themselves to great images, pure and simple!  Randomly point your lens at enough racing cars, with their aggressive, low-slung profiles and eye-catching livery, and you will  end up with some great pics, guaranteed!     Of course, it helps if you attend a really, really magnificent spectacle like the Baskerville Historics - aka  The Blast from The Past - held annually in September at Baskerville Raceway, less than thirty minutes' drive from the CBD of Tasmania's capital city, Hobart.  It is, quite simply, as good an event as you might hope to see, combining the very finest of historic racing cars - open-wheelers, sports-racing, sports, and modified and production saloons -  with Australia's best spectator circuit to provide drivers and motor-sport fans with an unrivalled experience!    I was only able to attend the first day o
